TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) verifies the knowledge of English is not native students studying or working in countries where English is the language of communication. This is a test developed by ETS (Educational Testing Service). More than 6,000 institutions and agencies in 110 countries rely on TOEFL, are students with the skills necessary to successfully select English.
TOEFL tests all four language skills that are important for effective communication:Speaking, listening, reading and writing. There are three versions of the TOEFL: paper-based Computer-based (CBT) and Internet (iBT). Most test centers, now the Internet Based TOEFL (iBT).
On paper and on Computer-Based TOEFL
The computer-based TOEFL (CBT) was introduced in 1998. The format is very similar to that of the original document based on test. Internet-Based TOEFL (iBT)
The TOEFL (iBT) was created in 2005 for life. It is intended to replace thosetwo versions of the test and become gradually available worldwide. The new TOEFL iBT is linear and not a computer adaptive test. This means that each candidate answers questions from the same set of difficulties to get more questions about their levels of skill.
The TOEFL iBT consists of four sections: reading, listening, speaking and writing. All four parties have taken the same day, and the entire test takes about four hours. Goto register online for a test. You can also subscribe by phone or email. When you register for the test, you can choose which university you get your results. Or, wait until you receive the results before being sent to selected universities. Results will be available online 15 business days after completing the test. ETS also send an evaluation report card for recordings.
